Main Purpose
Pico Laser toning can correct sun spots, acne scars, (hyper)pigmentation, and uneven skin tone. Pico toning uses the picosecond (one-trillionth unit) method which uses a laser irradiation time 1,000 times faster than the nanosecond (one-billionth unit) method of conventional laser toning. Laser toning is the process of using laser energy to penetrate specific layers of the skin and destroy pigments. Pico Laser toning is done by using non-ablative lasers, which work by heating the targeted tissue without actually destroying the tissue. This creates a controlled thermal injury, which triggers a natural response in the body to produce more collagen and elastin. After the procedure, the body's immune system processes excess pigmentation and leftover particles to clear away discoloration.
